This Cookie Policy explains how Scales and Ember (Pty) Ltd (“we”), uses cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, on scalesandember.com.

When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner asks for your choice. Analytics and marketing cookies and tags do not run until you accept them, wherever you are in the world. Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" by default. We also honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals.

  • Strictly necessary (always active): shopping cart and checkout (WooCommerce), account login including Sign in with Google, payment (PayPal), security and bot protection (Cloudflare and Google reCAPTCHA), and remembering your cookie choice (Complianz).
  • Preferences: remember choices such as currency or region, where used.
  • Statistics (only with your consent): Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand how the Site is used. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.
  • Marketing (only with your consent): Google Ads and Google Listings & Ads, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel and Conversions API, the Pinterest tag, and Klaviyo on-site tracking. We use these to measure campaigns and show relevant ads.
